Goil opens upper middle belt zonal office in Sunyani
The Ghana oil company limited (GOIL) has opened its upper Middle Belt Zonal office in Sunyani.
The new office would oversee the activities of Goil products in Bono, Bono East, Ahafo, Western North and part of Ashanti regions.
Hitherto Goil dealers in the aforementioned regions had to transact business with the Kumasi Zonal office in the Ashanti Region.
Speaking at the inauguration in Sunyani yesterday, Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Goil, Mr Kwame Osei-Prempeh, said the decision to create a new office in Sunyani was to bring their services to the doorsteps of the people and capture the market in the under serve regions (Bono, Bono East, Ahafo, Western North) as well as show the company’s presence in these areas.
He said it would also offer them the opportunity to know the problems of their clients and find possible ways in resolving those issues.
Mr Osei-Prempeh announced that management of the company was working hard to expand their operations to other countries especially in two West African countries in the next two years
The Group CEO noted that Goil, the leading public oil company in the country is being managed well and urged Ghanaians to invest in the company to their benefits.
Mr Osei-Prempeh called on the public to patronise the services of Goil explaining the safety of the fuel from Goil is guaranteed.
The Bono Regional Minister, Justina Owusu Banahene, in an address commended management of Goil for extending their operations to the region, noting that her outfit was ready to offer all the needed assistance to the company for them to succeed in their operations.
The Queen of Sunyani, Nana Akosua Asor Brayie, who represented the paramount chief of the Sunyani Traditional Council,Nana Bosoma Asor Nkrawiri appealed to management of Goil and other regulatory bodies to ensure that oil dealers adhere to all safety measures in order to avert any disaster.
Mr Samuel Owusu Bennett, Managing Director of Eusbeth Hotel who spoke on behalf of oil dealers in the region said the new Zonal office in Sunyani has to end the suffering of oil dealers who had to travel to Kumasi Zonal office to transact business.
He commended the management of Goil for listening and addressing their concern and assured that they would work hard to push the Goil brand in the Bono Region.
