Ghanaian manufacturing firm, Interplast Ltd, has been ranked 49th in the 2026 edition of Africa’s Fastest-Growing Companies by the Financial Times and global research firm, Statista, marking a major milestone for Ghana’s industrial sector.
The latest ranking represents a significant rise from the company’s 70th position in 2025, making it the second consecutive year Interplast has featured on the prestigious continental list.
The full ranking report is expected to be published by the Financial Times on June 9, 2026.
Interplast, headquartered in Accra, manufactures plastic pipe systems and related building solutions for sectors such as water supply, sanitation, agriculture, mining, telecommunications, construction, energy and civil engineering.
The company’s products are widely used in water distribution systems, irrigation projects and major infrastructure developments across Ghana and other African countries.
Speaking on the recognition, Chairman of Interplast, Mr Saied Fakhry, described the achievement as a proud moment for both the company and Ghanaian industry.
“This recognition is a proud moment for Interplast and for Ghanaian manufacturing. It reflects a long-term commitment to industry, people, quality and customer trust. We are proud to see a Ghanaian company continue to rise on the African stage,” he stated.
Managing Director of the company, Mr Hayssam Fakhry, attributed the growth to sustained investment in quality, technology and regional partnerships.
According to him, the company remained committed to supporting Africa’s infrastructure development through reliable products manufactured in Ghana.
“Rising from 70th in 2025 to 49th in 2026 shows that our growth is the result of long-term investment in quality, technology and regional partnerships,” he said.
The General Manager for International Sales, Mr Samudini Sabi, also noted that the recognition reflected increasing customer confidence in Interplast’s products and services across the continent.
He said the company would continue to strengthen its international sales presence and regional partnerships to support infrastructure development in Africa.
Industry analysts say Interplast’s repeated appearance in the ranking demonstrates the growing potential of Ghanaian manufacturing companies to compete effectively on the continental stage through innovation, consistency and sustained investment.
Interplast is one of Ghana’s leading manufacturers of plastic pipe systems and related industrial solutions, serving both local and international markets.
