Kofi Akpaloo kick-starts Election 2024 campaign

The founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Percival Kofi Akpaloo, has kick-started his campaign tour of the Greater Accra Region to canvass votes for the December 2024 general election.
The campaign dubbed “A walk through Ghana” started at the Mallam Atta Market in the Greater Accra Region. He was accompanied by some party executives and sympathisers.
Speaking in an interview with the Ghanaian Times after the tour in Accra, Mr Akpaloo said the exercise which was the first phase formed part of his campaign strategy to interact with Ghanaians at their place of work, worship and other gatherings to listen to their plights and share his vision.
Mr Akpaloo said it had become abundantly clear that the progress of the country had been reversed by the incompetent administration of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The future of Ghana under the NPP, he explained, was bleak and that a new government of competence and quality leadership by the LPG was the surest solution to the many challenges that had plagued the country.
He called on the electorateespecially the market women to vote against the NPP and NDC in the 2024 elections since they did not have any better future for the country.
“It is clear and evident that majority of Ghanaians are suffering,I‘ve interacted with a lot of people, and all that they’re saying is ‘Ya bre NDC ne NPP’ to wit ‘we’re tired of both the NPP andNDC’, so I am telling them that, they should try LPG, and I promise to offer an all-inclusive, transparent and accountable governance,” he added.
He outlined some of his policies he would implement when voted into power as child benefit, unemployment benefit, job fund, affordable rental accommodation among othersto better the lives of citizens.
“I’m aware of the task ahead of me, but my goal is to garner undecided despondent voters and those tired of the political abysmal performances put up by both the NDC and NPP so my presence is to give them hope since LPG has a great vision, ambition and we’re poised to transform the nation,” Mr Akpaloo assured.
