‘Let’s consolidate our gains with 2020 elections victory’

Hajia Abibata Zakariah, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Medium and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), has urged members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to be purposeful, focus, steadfast and united towards another resounding electoral victory in 2020.
“I am confident if we stand purposeful, remain focus and united for we stand another chance of massive victory in the 2020 elections with the outstanding performance of the government with support and assistance from the women’s wing of our party,” she assured.
Hajia Zakariah assured when she addressed separately the Savannah and Bono Regional NPP women’s conference, an initiative of the Office of the National Women’s Organiser, Kate Gyamfua, meant to unite, mobilise and empower the women of the party to consolidate the gains in the next general election was on the theme: ‘Empowering Women for Election 2020 and Beyond.’
She admonished strong, vibrant and experienced women within the party to be purposeful, focused, steadfast and united to mobilise, empower and sensitise grassroots on policies, programmes and interventions of the government so as to retain power in 2021.
Hajia Zakariah commended the leadership of the party for the initiative for realising the need to unite, mobilise and empower females of the party at the grassroots to embark on a massive drive to win floating and first time voters through their door-to-door campaigns since the 2020 elections would never be won on a silver platter.
“I am optimistic with resources at our disposal we should take a front role in explaining policies, programmes, interventions and vision of the party to the electorate especially floating and first time to be attracted to the party and we as members, supporters, well wishers and faithful to also remain loyal but firm and resolute in your services and dealings with the party,” she intimated.
Hajia Zakariah however, in no uncertain terms condemned abusive, intimidating, suppressive and divisive comments against women by some desperate political elements and appealed to females not to be discouraged by such negative comments to derail their political agenda but remain focused, steadfast and resolute in achieving it.
“I believe leadership positions and services to nation and political parties are not the preserve of men thus we must be inspired to rise above reproach to serve as role models in society,” she insisted. -asempanews.com
