‘Opkoti’ TV Series Gains Popularity in Ghana

The Opkoti TV series has quickly become a fan favourite in Ghana, captivating viewers every Wednesday at 7:30 pm on GH One TV.
Produced by Reel Jaguar Films and directed by seasoned filmmaker Philip Pratt, the comedy-drama explores the amusing lives of Ghanaian fishermen and their families.
The lead character, Pampanaa, played by Joseph Yaw Oppong, has won the hearts of many with his comedic brilliance and strong screen presence.

His performance has been so compelling that his female co-star recently earned a nomination for Best Actress in a Drama Series at the Ghana Movie Awards.
The show also stars Favour Okokon, Collins Acheampong, and Kwame Akyea, adding depth and excitement to the cast.
Reel Jaguar Films has become a household name for creative storytelling.
Currently, five of their drama series air on GH One TV from Monday to Thursday, while another runs on Max TV.
The company has also aired 15 series and films on DStv Akwaaba Magic over the years.
Philip Pratt, the writer and director of Opkoti, boasts over 15 years of experience in filmmaking. His work has taken him to countries like the UK, Uganda, Nigeria, and South Africa.
He envisions using film as a tool to unite Africa through powerful storytelling.
