Ramadan: Melcom Care Foundation donates food items to National Chief Imam

Melcom and Melcom Care Foundation donated assorted food items yesterday and promised 1,000 Iftar meals to the National Chief Imam and Muslim community for the holy month of Ramadan.

The donation forms part of their commitment to social responsibility and community support.

Key executives led the donation from Melcom, including Madam Sonya Sadhwani, Executive Director), Mr. Ashok Nair, Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Zahed Siddiqui, Chief Information Officer, and Nana Opoku A.Kyei, Head of Marketing.

Items donated included 1,000 tins of Kerrygold Avantage Milk Powder,1,000 packs of Svedoly Crystal Sugar, 300 packs of Platinum Jasmine Vietnamese Rice,500 packs of Banetti Spaghetti, 600 bottles of Popizz Sparkling White Grape, 400 bottles of Popizz Sparkling Red Grape, 500 pieces of Seara Full Chicken Griller.

According to them, the act of generosity aligns with Melcom’s ongoing commitment to supporting various communities across Ghana.

Additionally, they added that the company has consistently engaged in initiatives that promote social welfare, particularly during significant religious and cultural events.

The Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, said Allah will bless them for returning a favour to the people.

“Allah does a favour to you and you return it to mankind, the blessings and guidance in Ramadan will be bestowed on you by Allah,” he added.

Sheikh Nuhu Sharubutu thanked and prayed for more success for the leadership and the company for them to continuously impact lives.
