Resources Intermediaries Limited marks 15th anniversary with donation to Ushers Hospital

Resources Intermediaries Limited Ghana has marked its 15th anniversary by donating an undisclosed amount to Ushers Hospital to support the payment of minor medical bills for patients who cannot afford to settle their bills after treatment.

The Managing Director of Resources Intermediaries Limited, Mr Emmanuel Boateng, who made the presentation on behalf of management, said the initiative was inspired by the difficulties many patients encounter in raising money to pay their medical bills.

He said the situation was a source of worry and that, as a company, it was their way of supporting people who were in need.

Receiving the cheque on behalf of the hospital, Dr Philomina Bonsu, a Specialist Doctor and Sub-Municipal Director at the hospital, expressed appreciation to Resources Intermediaries Limited (RIL) for the gesture.

She said the donation would go a long way to support patients who could not afford their medical bills, particularly those within the community where the hospital is located.

She appealed to more corporate organisations to support the hospital whenever the need arises.

In an exclusive interview with veteran broadcaster Victor Morrison, Dorcas Beeko Mangesi, Executive Director of Business Development, expressed gratitude to the company’s board for shaping and coaching management and staff to improve their working conditions.

She also commended the staff who work day and night to continue delivering on their responsibilities and ensuring Resources Intermediaries Limited remains at the top.

Resilience and determination

Reflecting on the company’s 15-year journey, Mr Emmanuel Boateng described its growth as a story of resilience, innovation and determination.

He said Resources Intermediaries Limited began operations with only five employees but had since grown into a nationwide human resources provider.

“Like every startup, the journey was not easy. We went through difficult moments, but by the grace of God, we have overcome those initial challenges,” he said.

He attributed the company’s success to its staff, who work tirelessly to achieve the company’s goals.

Challenges

On the challenges faced by the company, Mr Boateng said, like many businesses, Resources Intermediaries Limited was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and high US dollar rates.

He, however, said the company had recovered from the setbacks and remained financially strong.

Looking ahead, Mr Boateng called for a stable macroeconomic environment to enable businesses to plan effectively and grow sustainably.

He said recent improvements in inflation and exchange rate stability were encouraging and expressed optimism that the trend would continue.

“A stable economy will enable businesses to make reliable projections, expand their operations and continue delivering quality services to customers,” he said.
