Shalom Baptist Church wins Awana 40th Anniversary Olympics
Teshie-based Shalom Baptist Church was crowned winners of the Awana 40th Anniversary Olympics held at the El-Wak Sports Stadium in Accra.
Awana, a worldwide nonprofit ministry that is focused on providing Bible-based evangelism and discipleship solutions for children aged two to 18, has been in Ghana since 1984, giving children the opportunity to know, love, and serve Jesus, no matter their background.
According to the Chairman of the Awana Olympics Committee, Michael Krow, the annual games serves as entertainment for its members.
The anniversary games brought together 15 Awana-based churches, including Korle Bu Community Chapel (KBCC), Akosombo Community Club (ACC), Church of Pentecost, Kasoa, Kwaboa Community Club, Harvest Baptist Church, Shalom Baptist Church (SBC), Truth Missionary Baptist Church, and Atomic Hills Baptist Church.
