Ghanaians disappointed in govt’s unfulfilled promises–APC
Founder and former flagbearer of the All People’s Congress (APC), Hassan Ayariga has insisted that the president is not in charge, oblivious of happenings in the country and suspects some other persons are running the country on his behalf.
He described the current
state of the country as situation ‘beyond hopeless’ maintaining that the
Akufo-Addo-led administration has failed Ghanaians saying, “I think so
far, the government has failed us.
“President Akufo-Addo worked better as a
presidential candidate in 2016 than he is doing as substantive president made
the citizenry hopeful in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.
“He must wake up from his slumber because in 2016, I recorded a video and informed Ghanaians when Nana Akufo-Addo becomes the president, he will not be managing the economy, there will be certain people in charge, that is what is happening, President Akufo-Addo does not know what is happening because nothing is moving, the citizenry thought he was the person to salvage the country, but now sleeping.
Mr Ayariga expressed the sentiments,
accused the president of reneging on his promises and
lamented that the country had deteriorated under the leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo.
“Corruption, vandalising government property, abuse
of government appointees, power, kidnappings, killings, assault on political
party members, culture of silence, the government’s untruthfulness to the
citizenry and technocrats judge activities of politicians by their promises.
“We
had too much hope in the Akufo-Addo-led administration, believed in his
integrity, quality, age, exposure, level of experience to salvage the economy
but failing contrary to buoyant economy promised and taken us for a ride
resulting in retrogression,” Mr Ayariga bemoaned.
He challenged the citizenry to consider making a radical ‘change’ from the traditional NPP and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and look elsewhere for people with different mindset. –3news.com
