Ama Korama Adu adjudged ESL Sports Personality of the Year

Young, budding badminton star, Moslena Ama Korama Adu, has been adjudged the Sports Personality of the Year by the Elite Sports League (ESL).
This followed her dominance at all levels of the sport and medal volume during the 2024/25 season.
The crowning moment of the SDA Senior High School, in Gomoa Jukwa, came at the maiden African School Games, where she clinched two gold medals and a bronze, establishing herself as a continental champion.
At the Africa U15 Championships, she further showcased her brilliance, winning multiple gold medals across singles, doubles, and mixed categories.
Guided by her father as coach, Moslena combined consistency with versatility, proving herself as a complete athlete.
The second-year student excelled at the 2025 National Badminton Championships, winning:
- Gold medal at the U-19 Girls Singles
- Gold in the Seniors Women’s Doubles
- Gold in the Seniors Mixed Doubles, all in March
- Gold in the Seniors Mixed Doubles in June
- Silver in the Seniors Women’s Doubles in June
Ama Korama Adu also won three gold medals and a silver in the Team Event, Girls Singles, Girls Doubles, and Girls Singles of the All Africa U-15 Championship Accra 2025.
At the African School Games in Algeria, she won two gold medals in the Girls Doubles and Mixed Doubles events, and a bronze in the Team Event.
Following that was the All Africa U-15 Air Badminton Championship, in which she swept home gold medals in the Team Event, Mixed Triple 1 (XTI), and Mixed Triple 2 (XT2), and silver in the Girls Singles.
At the JE Wilson Juniors and Seniors Championship, Ama Korama Adu shone with:
- Gold medal in the Mixed Doubles and Girls Doubles events
- Bronze in the Girls Singles and Seniors Women Doubles categories
