Black Starlets lose to Nigeria in third place playoff

 The Black Starlets failed in their bronze medal bid in the WAFU Zone B  U-17 Championship after losing 3-2 to the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria, yesterday.

The Ghanaians had a jerky start as Imrana Muhammed put the Nigerians ahead in five minutes.

But the Starlets bounced back when Harve Gbafa scored on 19 minutes with a glancing header from a Benjamin Tsivanyo corner kick.

Gbafa scored a double to put Ghana ahead with a brilliant flick but surrendered the lead as Abdulmuiz Adeleke drew level for Nigeria on 39 minutes.

Adeleke popped up in the final seconds of the game to blast home the winner for the Eaglets
