Kunsu Camp student reaches final of Otumfuo Community Reading Challenge

A brilliant student of Kunsu Camp D/A JHS in the Ahafo Ano South West District, Miss Rose Korkor, has qualified for the grand finale of the prestigious Otumfuo Community Reading Challenge.
Representing the Kunsu Community, Miss Korkor emerged among the top five finalists out of 60 participants from across the Ashanti Region during the preliminary stage.
The final contest is scheduled to take place at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on December 10, where the young girl will showcase her reading skills before dignitaries and a national audience.

In recognition of her outstanding performance and to boost her morale, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ahafo Ano South West, Alhaji Abubakar Sedik, donated GH¢1,000 to Miss Korkor and pledged to sponsor her education up to the tertiary level.
Alhaji Sedik also promised to provide a bus to convey supporters from the district to the Manhyia Palace to cheer her on during the final. He further assured his personal presence at the event to encourage the young finalist.
He praised Miss Korkor for bringing honour to the district and called on the people of Ahafo Ano South West to rally behind her as she competes for the ultimate prize.
The Otumfuo Community Reading Challenge, an initiative under the patronage of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, aims to promote literacy, reading culture, and academic excellence among schoolchildren.
