MTN rewards 3 customers with Toyota Prados

A businesswoman, a farmer and an engineer have each won a brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado in MTN Ghana’s MTN@30 reward promotion.

The three winners Faustina Asante, Mahama Wasila and Alidu Tanko received the keys to their vehicles at a colourful prize presentation held at Kejetia in Kumasi on September 16, 2026, as part of activities marking MTN Ghana’s 30th anniversary.

The three join a growing number of customers being rewarded under the three-month promotion for their continued patronage of MTN services.

Customers did not have to register or dial a short code to participate. Points were earned automatically through everyday activities, including calls, data usage and Mobile Money transactions, with each point providing an opportunity to win.

Speaking at the presentation, the Senior Manager, Consumer Marketing at MTN Ghana, Sandra Oduro Antwi, said the promotion was the company’s way of expressing appreciation to customers who had been part of its 30-year journey.

“This milestone belongs not to MTN alone, but to the more than 32 million Ghanaians who have made MTN part of their lives,” she said.

The promotion will reward up to 30,000 customers with prizes ranging from brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prados to cash prizes of up to GH¢30,000.

Nine vehicles will be given away in all, with three presented at each of the three prize presentation events.

Accra hosted the first presentation, with Kejetia serving as the venue for the second. The final presentation is scheduled to take place in the coming weeks.

The Senior Specialist, Mass Segment at MTN Ghana, Samuel Arthur, said the MTN@30 promotion was a gesture of gratitude for the support Ghanaians had given the company since it began operations in the country.

He said independent auditing firm, KPMG, reviewed and verified the promotion data at every stage to ensure transparency, fairness and integrity in the selection of winners.

For Mrs Mahama Wasila, a farmer from the Northern Region, the win came as a complete surprise.

She said she had simply continued to purchase data and airtime and conduct transactions on her phone, without imagining that her everyday activities could put her behind the wheel of a Toyota Prado.

“I never imagined that I could win something like this, but by God’s grace, I have won this,” she said.

Mrs Faustina Asante also expressed gratitude and excitement after winning her Prado.

She said she first came across information about the MTN@30 promotion on TikTok and had used Mobile Money for most of her business transactions while also purchasing significant amounts of data bundles for her loved ones.

She encouraged other customers to participate in future promotions and remain hopeful, saying genuine opportunities could change a person’s life overnight.

The MTN@30 promotion forms part of activities marking MTN Ghana’s 30th anniversary under the theme, “30 Years of Progress, Powered by You”.
