Bayern are down in 17th spot in the Champions League table, picking up six points from their four European matches this season, while PSG are 25th, with Luis Enrique’s side only gathering four points from their opening four games.

Bayern will bring a six-game winning run into this contest, with Vincent Kompany’s side responding excellently to their 4-1 defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League towards the end of October.

Bayern are flying in the league, winning nine and drawing two of their 11 matches, but they have had issues in the Champions League this term, losing to both Aston Villa and Barcelona, which has left them in 17th spot in the table on six points.

Kompany’s team did manage to beat Benfica 1-0 in the competition last time out, though, and they will be looking to continue their strong form at home to French opposition on today, having triumphed in 12 of their previous 18 European fixtures against visitors from Ligue 1.

Bayern have been victorious in 12 of their last 14 matches against French opposition, while they have won 22 of their last 27 home Champions League fixtures, with their last European defeat on home soil actually coming against PSG in the quarter-finals of the competition during the 2020-21 campaign.

PSG lost home and away to Bayern in the last-16 stage of the 2022-23 Champions League, while they were famously beaten 1-0 by the German side in the final of the competition back in 2020, with recent history certainly favouring Bayern in this fixture.

PSG were beaten 2-1 by Atletico Madrid in their last Champions League match at the start of November, though, and they have also lost to Arsenal and been held at home by PSV Eindhoven in the competition this season.

The Red and Blues are currently 25th in the Champions League table, boasting four points from four matches, and they have incredibly only found the back of the net on three occasions in the competition this season.

PSG have only been victorious in one of their last seven away matches against Bundesliga clubs, while they have been beaten in eight of their 15 games on the road against teams from Germany.

The French side have won just 15 of their last 37 European games, meanwhile, losing 14 times in the process, and it is a huge ask to overcome Bayern at Allianz Arena today.
