Ex-convict allegedly stabs man
A 22-year-old man, Nana Yaw, is battling for his life at Agona Swedru Government Hospital after an ex-convict allegedly stabbed him multiple times at Lower Bobikuma.
The incident occurred when Nana was intervening in a fight between the assailant, Yaw Nyarko, popularly known as Solider, and another person during the Akwambo Festival.
Brother of the victim, Prince Quansah, told Adom News that Nana Yaw infuriated the suspect who pulled out a knife and attacked him (Nyarko).
Quansah said his brother sensing danger decided to run for his life, but the suspect chased him and stabbed him seven times. Brother of the victim disclosed that, the suspect was currently at large.
Meanwhile, Nana Yaw’s sister, Mary Odoom, has also appealed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare, to intervene to ensure Soldier is arrested and made to face the full rigorous of the law.
Odoom indicated that this is the fourth time the suspect, a three time ex-convict, has injured innocent people.
