Owusu-Bempah honoured for excellence in corporate communications

The head of corporate communications of the Ghana National Gas Company (GNGC) Mr Ernest Owusu Bempah has been adjudged the Best Communication Personality of the year at the just ended Ghana Corporate Brands Awards.

The event which was held in Accra brought together Managers and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of prominent business entities across Ghana.

The awards ceremony, a major event in the marketing and communication sector seeks to recognise the contribution of individuals and institutions in the growth of the country’s business sector.

Companies and persons selected for the Ghana Corporate Brands Awards are evaluated and graded by the scheme’s research board, consisting of prominent and well-learned figures in the world of business branding, advertising and marketing, as well as by a consumer poll run by an independent survey under specific selection criteria including quality, market dominance, resilience, customer loyalty, corporate responsibility and overall market acceptance.

Commenting on the feat achieved, Mr Owusu-Bempah said determination and hard work made it possible for him to receive “such an honour” and dedicated the award to the management and members of the communication directorate of the GNGC.

“We have helped build a successful story for GNGC since I joined the company IN 2017. The brand has become one of the best in the country and our relationship with the general public in terms of communication is superb. Our style of communication and branding has made the GNGC a household and global name when it comes to the oil and gas market.”

“This has contributed to our success story and I assure that we will continue to give off our best to remain the best,” he added.

According to Mr Owusu-Bempah, how people perceive a brand contributes significantly to the growth of any company or organisation therefore his outfit would continue to remain proactive in its unique communication strategies, while improving the quality and standards of its services.

Touching on the GNGC’s Corporate Social Responsibilities, the award winning communications specialist indicated that the company still remained focused on lifting people out of poverty and supporting needy institution, through its philanthropic activities, in the quest to contribute towards the betterment of the society.

Due to his position at GNGC, Mr Owusu-Bempah oversees the strategic development plan that directs the activities of corporate communications department of the company.

As a key member of the Ghana Gas management, he supports the CEO to ensure the realisation of the vision and mission of GNGC, and the objectives of the company, successfully achieved.
