Silva to stay at City until 2026
Bernardo Silva has ended speculation over his future by signing a new deal at Manchester City until 2026.
Silva, 29, has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain with just one year remaining on his contract.
City boss Pep Guardiola had said it would be his “dream” to see Silva extend his contract, and he has got his wish.
Silva has made 308 appearances for Manchester City and has been a key player under Guardiola.
He has scored 55 goals, including two in the 4-0 win over Real Madrid in the first leg of last season’s Champions League semi-finals.
City director of football Txiki Begiristain added: “Bernardo has been exceptional during his time at the Etihad, so we’re delighted that he has signed a contract extension with the club.
“His quality and technical ability is fantastic and alongside his hard work and professionalism, he has become one of the best players in the world.
“Bernardo was so important in our Treble-winning season and we are sure he can help deliver even more trophies in the next few years.”
