GBF thanks president, others
The Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF), has expressed appreciation to the government, individuals and stakeholders that supported the participation of the national boxing team, the Black Bombers to the just ended 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
A statement signed by President of the GBF, Mr George Lamptey, specially thanked the president, Nana Akufo-Addo for the warm reception accorded the team.
Team Ghana won bronze through 20-year-old Samuel Takyi, a member of the boxing team.
The statement also extended appreciation to the Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru, the Minister for Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Prof. Peter Twumasi, President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah and other individuals that supported the team.
“The GBF is also appreciative of the support from its coaches, Ofori Asare and Vincent Akai Nettey; the two other boxers, Sulemanu Tetteh and Shakul Samed for their cooperation; the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South Constituency, Oko Vandepuye; the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Geodrill Exploration and Mining, Mr Dave Harper; Alhaji Inusah Sally, a businessman; the Trust Sports Emporium, the management of Royal Dede Golden Beach Resort and the media.”
