Ghana draw South Africa, Mali, Tanzania in 2024 WAFCON

 Ghana’s Black Queens have been drawn into Group C for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament, which will take place in Morocco in 2025.

The draw, which took place on Friday evening, revealed that Gha­na will face defending champions, South Africa, Tanzania, and Mali at the group stage.

Host nation, Morocco, Zam­bia, Senegal, and DR Congo are in Group A, while Group B consists of Nigeria, Algeria, Tunisia, and Botswana.

The draw sets the stage for a challenging yet rewarding journey for the Queens, highlighted by their clash against South Afri­ca’s Banyana Banyana, as well as matches against Mali’s Les Aiglonnes and Tanzania’s Twiga Stars.

The 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will run from July 5-26, 2025, in Morocco.
