Nima Oldies thrash Ashiedu Keteke in RENFAG C/L stage

NIMA Oldies defeated Ashiedu Keteke 3-1 at McDan La Town Park last Saturday to book a semi-final spot in the ongoing Champions League (C/L) stage of the Retired National Footballers Association of Ghana (RENFAG) Oldies League.

The Champions League stage has attracted the top two teams from all four zones to battle for the ultimate title as league champions for the 2025/26 season.

Nima Oldies jumped to a first-half lead through Ibrahim Ismaila on 25 minutes. Back from the recess, Akwesi Solomon added a second goal on the 63rd minute.

Foster Nartey reduced the deficit a few minutes later with a fine finish, only for Ismaila to restore the two-goal lead with the third goal in the 86th minute.

In other games:

• Tema Ex-footballers fell to a 2-0 loss to Zone B runner-up, Rangoon Oldies, at the Teshie McDan Park.
• Zone D champions, SCC Sunday Stars, beat Zone C runner-up, Kotobabi Oldies, 3-1 at McDan La Town Park last Sunday.
• Zone B champions, La Salem Oldies, shrugged off Zone A runner-up, Veterans KFC, 2-1 at Teshie McDan Park on Sunday.

Upcoming Semi-Finals:

• Nima Oldies will engage La Salem Oldies on Sunday at McDan La Town Park at 7:30 am.
• SCC Sunday Stars take on Rangoon Oldies a day before at the same venue.
