Samuel Inkoom Football Academy makes new appointments

The Samuel Inkoom Football Academy (SIFA) has appointed a Tema based professional sports management expert, Mr Lawrence Kofi Abedu Aubyn, as the Academy’s Sporting Director.

He would be responsible for the strategic planning, operational governance and institutional development of the academy.

Mr Aubyn, who also serves as Co-Founder of Africa x (AXT), a lifecycle management agency for West Africa, holds an MSc degree in International Sports Management (Merit) from the European Sport Business School in Valencia alongside  a B.A. Hons in Economics and Arabic from the University of Ghana.

Mr Aubyn brings a strong administrative, analytical foundation and commercial strategy to the Samuel Inkoom Football Academy, founded four years ago under the leadership of its Chairman, Samuel Inkoom, a former Ghana Black Stars player.

After four years of steady development, the academy, based at Kasoa in the Central Region of Ghana, achieved a remarkable milestone in the previous season as they went unbeaten to win the Division 3 League to gain promotion to the Second Division League.

In another development, Mr Thomas Kweku Aubyn, a former Member of Parliament of Gomoa East, was also appointed as a Life Patron of the Academy and Mr Kweku Sersah-Johnson as a Patron of the Academy.

Mr Inkoom, founder of the Academy, said the appointments were strategic, and aimed at strengthening its administrative and managerial structures as it aims to unearth talents and enhancing football development in the country and the world at large.
