Head Coach of Accra Hearts of Oak Samuel Boadu and midfielder Salifu Ibrahim have been adjudged winners of the coach and player of the year awards for the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.
Coach Boadu led the team to a historic league title, the first in 11 seasons as well as the MTN FA Cup.
He won against Asante Kotoko’s Coach, Mariano Barreto, WAFA’s Prosper Narteh Ogun, Annor Walker of Accra Great Olympics and Vladislav Viric of Dreams FC.
Out of a combined 34 matches played at both Medeama SC and Hearts of Oak, Coach Boadu won 18, drew nine, lost seven, scored 43 goals and conceded 23.
Boadu received a trophy, a shopping voucher worth GH¢8,000 plus an all-expenses-paid weekend stay at the Alisa Hotel.
Salifu Ibrahim beats the likes of Gladson Awako, Diawisie Taylor, Augustine Boakye and Benjamin Afutu for the prize.
His won eight Man-of-the Match awards scored three goals and had eight-goal assist to push him ahead of the pack.
He took home a prize of GH¢5,000 shopping voucher and an all-expenses-paid weekend stay at the Alisa Hotel.
Karela United FC’s Diawisie Taylor was adjudged the top scorer with 18 goals to received a trophy and GH¢3,000 shopping voucher.
