Student donates sports kits to GIMPA
A Business Administration student of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Mr Henry Quarshie, has donated sports kits worth GH¢5,000 to the sports team of the school.
The sports kits comprise 40 jerseys, 20 pair of socks, 20 training bibs, 20 training cones, five footballs and two captain bands.
Mr Quarshie said he was concerned about the lack of sports kits for the school’s team, hence the decision to donate to them adding that the school had to resort to borrowing kits for their activities, which was a major worry to him.
He said the donation was also to boost their morale, adding that, “this would save them the stress of going out to borrow sports kits whenever there were games.”
Prof. Anthony Mawuli Sallar, Dean of Students of GIMPA, who received the donation on behalf of the school, commended Mr Quarshie for the donation.
He said this would go a long way to help the sports team of the school.
Dr Emmanuel Gyamfi, acting Head of Sports at GIMPA, said the sports directorate of the school was very appreciative of the gesture.
“This donation is very timely because we are preparing for the GUNSA games in January 2020,” he said.
He promised that they would make good use of the kits. – GNA
