NDC thanks Greater Accra Region voters for warm reception
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has expressed gratitude to voters in the Greater Accra Region for the warm reception given to its flagbearer, John Mahama and the campaign team during their recent visit to some constituencies.
A statement issued by the Greater Accra Regional Communication Directorate of the NDC in Accra, yesterday, said the overwhelming support, kindness, and hospitality displayed by the people of the region had left the party humbled and inspired.
“We are thrilled by the massive turnout and the excitement that greeted our team in every constituency we visited. This is a clear indication that the people of Greater Accra Region are ready for change and are embracing our message of hope and transformation to build the Ghana we want,” said the Greater Chairman of the NDC, Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore.
The statement thanked the various people who came out to listen to their messages for the warm smiles and open arms, thought-provoking questions and insightful feedback, support and encouragement and trust in the party’s leadership and vision.
It stated the party’s pledge to continue listening to the voice of the people, addressing their concerns, and working tirelessly to deliver on the party’s promises so that together they would build a brighter future for Ghana.
“Join us on this journey to transform Ghana and restore the hope of our people. In the coming days, we shall share with you details of the flagbearer’s visit to the remaining constituencies in the region,” it said.
The former president spent Tuesday and Wednesday campaigning in the Greater Accra Region.
The two-day #Mahama4Change2024 tour took the NDC leader to seven constituencies to share his vision, proposals, policies, and programmes outlined in the NDC 2024 manifesto.
He met with traditional leaders, community stakeholders, the youth, women groups, traders, and other players in the informal sector of the economy and Ghanaians in general.
On day one, he visited the Ada, Sege and Ashaiman Constituencies while on day two, he continued to the Amasaman, Domeabra Obom, Trobu and Anyaa Sowutuom Constituencies
