The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has urged African countries to move beyond adopting international public sector accounting standards and build strong financial systems that promote transparency, accountability and public trust.
He said accounting standards alone could not guarantee transparency and accountability, stressing that they must be supported by strong institutions, skilled professionals, reliable data, modern technology and a culture of accountability. Read More
