All set for Swedru All Blacks, Hohoe United’s coronation matches

Two more coronation matches would be honoured this weekend following the conclusion of the Division One League (DOL).

Techiman Eleven Wonders were crowned last week as Zone 1 champions after a 2-1 win over RTU in their promotional play-off at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Following that would be the crowning moments of two other zone winners – Swedru All Blacks and Hohoe United.

Beginning Saturday, Hohoe United will host Home Stars at the Hohoe Stadium in the first of coronation matches outlined for the weekend.

Hohoe United amassed 72 to win in Zone Three of the DOL after 30 matches.

They won 23 games, lost four, and drew three matches, with five points separating them from Port City, who finished in second place with 67 points.

Formerly known as Liberty Professionals, the Hohoe side had a better record over teams like Port City, Okwahu United, Great Olympics, Rainmasters, Na God, Home Stars, Golden Kick, and Attram De Visser.

Following that would be the coronation of Swedru All Blacks, winners of DOL Zone Two after spending 16 years in the wilderness.

They would engage Soccer Intellectuals in their coronation match on Sunday at the Swedru Sports Stadium.

The Swedru-based club secured qualification with one game to spare after their Week 29, 3-0 victory against New Edubiase United.

The Black magicians finished the season with 66 points, winning 21 matches, losing six times, and drawing three of their 30 matches.
