Be patient with judicial system …NSA boss appeals to GAA feuding factions
Professor Peter Twumasi, Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), is confident the court will resolve the long standing dispute between Mr George Haldane-Lutterodt and the Ghana Athletics Association (GAA).
The court on April 29 adjourned the case to May 7, 2019, after receiving the report from the mediation committee set up by the NSA.
Mr Lutterodt, former President of GAA, who is seeking to contest for the presidency again, placed a court injunction on the elections of the GAA, citing unfairness in the processes leading to the congress.
According to Professor Twumasi, though the due process must be followed, he was confident a judgment would be passed soon to get the association back to business.
“Our judicial system and for that matter the Court processes take some time, but I’m confident that it shall be resolved soon,” he stated.
It would be recalled that Professor Twumasi in a bid to get an out of court settlement for both parties instituted a committee to help resolve the issue, which presented its findings and work to the NSA and a copy to the court for study. –GNA
