Vivo Energy Ghana reaffirms commitment to retail excellence

Vivo Energy Ghana PLC, the Shell licensee in Ghana, has reaffirmed its commitment to operational excellence, customer satisfaction and strategic partnerships following its successful Retail Conference and Awards ceremony in Accra.

Held in Accra under the theme, “Bigger, Bolder, Better Together,” the conference brought together retailers from across the country, as well as the company’s leadership and employees, to review the previous year’s performance, strengthen collaboration and share best practices.

The event also provided an opportunity for the company to recognise outstanding performance and align stakeholders on strategic priorities for the future of its retail business.

Delivering the keynote address, the Managing Director of Vivo Energy Ghana, Mr Christian Li, commended retailers and employees for their resilience, commitment and pursuit of excellence in an increasingly dynamic and volatile business environment.

“Our retailers are ambassadors of the Shell brand and the driving force behind the exceptional experiences we deliver to our customers every day. As we look ahead, let us continue to strengthen our safety culture, invest in our people, elevate our standards, embrace innovation, and unlock opportunities beyond fuel to position Shell mobility in the heart and minds of our customers and stakeholders,” he said.

A major highlight of the conference was the Retail Awards ceremony, which recognised individuals and retailers whose outstanding performance, leadership and commitment to operational excellence had set new benchmarks across Vivo Energy Ghana’s retail network.

The top award winners were: Country Retailer of the Year 2025:** Michael John-Delase, MKA Delase Ventures, Gold Retailer 2025:** Dr Joseph Dorph, Triple N Company Limited, Best Territory Manager 2025, Agarthina Wiafe and Best Quality Marshal 2025:** Gloria Serwaa, Shell Aboaso

The conference also featured presentations on the company’s half-year performance, highlighting key achievements, growth opportunities and priorities for the second half of the year.

Participants engaged in interactive discussions and an open forum on ways to improve operational performance, enhance customer experience and drive sustainable growth across the retail network.

Several other retailers, territory managers and site teams were also recognised for exceptional performance in key areas, highlighting the depth of talent and dedication within Vivo Energy Ghana’s retail operations.

Closing the conference, the Retail Manager, Yves-Roland Campaore, urged retailers and employees to build on the strong momentum recorded in the first half of the year.

He called on them to maintain their focus on business growth, deliver exceptional customer experiences and uphold high standards of operational excellence.

Mr Campaore also encouraged the retail network to continue working collaboratively to achieve greater success in the months ahead.

The conference reaffirmed Vivo Energy Ghana’s commitment to its vision of becoming the leading and most respected energy business in Africa and beyond through strong partnerships, recognition of excellence and a culture of continuous improvement.

Guided by its core values of safety, excellence, caring, respect and integrity, the company said it remained committed to delivering innovative energy solutions that create lasting value for customers, partners and communities.
