Tryton Motors signs deal with Debibi United, Jonina Ladies Football Academy

Tryton Motors Limited, an automobile company, has signed sponsorship agreements with two football teams-Jonina Ladies Football Academy and Debibi United Football Club, in a bid to support youth development and promote grassroots football in Ghana.
The partnerships are expected to strengthen the operations of both clubs through financial and logistical support to enhance player development, improve team management and create opportunities for young footballers to excel.
Though the contracts provided financial obligations that were not revealed to the media, the deal would see the company involved in community outreaches, fan engagement, media campaigns, digital promotions, and club activations to strengthen the connection between the clubs, their supporters, and the company.
Speaking at the signing ceremony in Accra on Tuesday, the Chief Executive Officer of Tryton Motors Limited, Mr Jihad Hijazi, described the sponsorship as “an investment in people, dreams and the future of Ghanaian football” rather than a mere business arrangement.
He said successful businesses had a responsibility to create opportunities for others and contribute meaningfully to society, adding that the company remained committed to supporting sports development and youth empowerment.
Mr Hijazi also expressed confidence that the partnerships would help nurture future football stars while promoting excellence, professionalism and community development through football.
The Development Director of Tryton Motors Limited, Mr Fadi Fattal, noted that the company was proud to become the official automotive sponsor of both clubs, describing the agreement as the beginning of a long-term partnership.
He said the collaboration would go beyond sponsorship to include community outreach programmes, media campaigns and fan engagement initiatives aimed at strengthening the clubs and inspiring young people to pursue their football dreams.
The Chief Executive Officer of Jonina Ladies Football Academy, Ms Betty Krosbi Mensah, described the three-year sponsorship agreement as a major boost for women’s football and the development of young female players.
She commended Tryton Motors for demonstrating confidence in women’s football, saying the partnership extended beyond financial support to promoting talent, discipline, mobility and opportunities for young players.
Ms Mensah assured the company that the club would uphold the values of professionalism, discipline and excellence while proudly promoting the Tryton Motors brand.
The Chief Executive Officer of Debibi United Football Club, Mr Richard Gyan Ntow, thanked the company for the support, describing it as a significant milestone in the club’s development.
He said the partnership would strengthen player development, improve the club’s operations and create more opportunities for talented young footballers.
