FA dismisses Hasaacas Ladies protest against Ampem Darkoa Ladies
The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has dismissed Hasaacas Ladies FC’s protest against Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC in relation to the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League final match played at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.
In its findings, the Disciplinary Committee found that the player, Jennifer Owusuaa, who was at the centre of controversy, was duly registered as a player of Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC and was duly qualified to play in the match against Hasaacas Ladies FC.
On Player Latifa Abesik, the DC found that the player was fraudulently registered by Afia Kobi Ampem Ladies FC on 22/02/2018.
The GFA Prosecutor has been asked to investigate and find all guilty parties in the fraudulent registration of Latifa Abesik.
The decision has been communicated to all parties accordingly.
Meanwhile the FA has announced that the semi-final round of the 2022/23 Women’s FA Cup will now be hosted today at Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex at Abrankese.
The change in date, venue and time, the FA said, was due to the unfavourable conditions at the Bremang Astro Turf.
The day’s first encounter is between Police Ladies and Pearlpia Ladies FC – set to kickoff at 10:00am with the second game between Army Ladies and Ampem Darkoa Ladies scheduled for 4:00pm kickoff.
All clubs and stakeholders are to take note of the changes and act accordingly.–GFA
