Officials announced for Ghana World Cup qualifiers
Referees for Ghana’s upcoming FIFA 2026 World Cup clashes against Chad in Accra and Madagascar in Morocco have been announced by FIFA.
Libya’s Ahmed Abdulrazg has been appointed as referee for the match day 5 Group I qualifier for the game against Chad in Accra.
He would be accompanied by compatriots, Amsaaed Attia M. Essa (Assistant I), Munji Alayat (Assistant II) and Muhammad Saad Elmabrouk Elmabrouk (Fourth Referee).
Kokou Djaoupe from Togo would serve as Referee Assessor while Holland-Cole Kasho Joseph from Sierra Leone serves as the Match Commissioner.
The match is scheduled to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21 at 7pm.
The game against Madagascar would be officiated by SY Issa from Senegal.
Issa has officiated in various international matches, including World Cup qualifiers and Africa Cup of Nations games.
He would be assisted by Camara Djibril, (Assistant I), Bangoura Nouha (Assistant II) and SY Elhadji Amadou (Fourth Referee).
Lim Kee Chong An Yan from Mauritius has been named as Referee Assessor while Brown Ivan Gartor from Liberia serves as the Match Commissioner.
The match between Madagascar and Ghana is scheduled to take place at the Grand Stade d’Al Hoceima in Morocco on Monday, March 24 at 7pm.
Ghana currently stands second in Group I with nine points from four matches, having secured three wins and one defeat. –Ghanafa.org
